“There is nothing like painting on the spot and capturing the essence and light of the scene around you. There is something unique about urban landscape …an energy, a rhythm, a vitality …and I feel that when I’m painting. I hope to capture that in my plein air paintings and use that knowledge later, when I am working in my studio.”

With every painting I do and every person I meet, I learn just how resilient the human spirit is. My quirky, spontaneous, colorful plein air paintings can tell a story and help others tell theirs too. The same is true of my abstractions and figurative work as well.
Hopefully, through my art you will be inspired to look beyond the obvious, claim your journey, your courage, your strength and follow your dreams…however extraordinary or ordinary they may be.
